During lockdown James began doing a sketch a day and annotated them with the days events, thoughts and observations from island life to global events as they unfolded. Sharing these daily on social media he was able to engage with people not just in this country but world wide, creating a sense connection in an increasingly isolated world. As coronavirus continues to be a force in all our lives this poignant book gives the reader pause for thought and reflection along with the glimmer of hope that art and the natural world inspire within us.
